22 Lindsay Lohan Movies to Celebrate Her Comeback in "Falling For Christmas"

The 2004 teen comedy "Mean Girls" tells the story of a 16-year-old new girl in an American high school learning to navigate cliques, hierarchies, and bullying. Lohan plays said new girl, Cady Heron, who was previously homeschooled in Africa. Cady befriends loners, impresses her teachers, and gains a crush. But when she unwittingly ends up joining the popular girls known as The Plastics, backstabbing, teenage drama, and memorable one-liners ensue.

Lohan shot to stardom after this 1998 remake of the 1961 rom-com "The Parent Trap." After being separated shortly after birth to live with their divorced parents, two twins (Lohan) coincidentally meet at summer camp and decide to swap lives to spend time with the parent they never knew. Lohan starred as both of the 11-year-old twins, the Californian Hallie Parker and the English Annie James, who try to stop their father from marrying a gold digger and rekindle the love between their parents.

Based on a novel of the same name, this 2003 comedy classic follows a mother and a daughter who switch bodies through the power of a magical fortune cookie. Lohan plays Anna Coleman, a teenager dealing with school bullies, a crush her mother disapproves of, a soon-to-be stepfather she doesn't like, and a potential big break for her band that happens to fall on the night of her mother's wedding rehearsal. After the body swap, Lohan plays her own mother, Tess, trapped in Anna's body.

"Life-Size" is a 2000 made-for-TV movie that shows what happens when a fashion doll magically comes to life. Lohan stars as Casey Stuart, a young girl who uncovers a spell to resurrect the dead. Wishing to bring her deceased mother back to life, Casey attempts the ritual, but some strands of hair from her Eve doll get mixed in with her mother's hair. The next morning, Casey wakes to find her Barbie-like doll is now a life-size woman.

Based on the novel of the same name, "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" follows Lohan's Lola Steppe, a 15-year-old aspiring actress whose family moves to a new school district. Lola gets cast in the school play, but she uses her acting skills to lie to her friends and classmates. When she and best friend Ella sneak away to New York City to try to see their favorite band's farewell tour, everything that could go wrong does, and Lola's lies unravel.

"Get a Clue" is a Disney Channel Original Movie from 2002. Lohan stars as Lexy Gold, a rich teenage Manhattanite who takes her work on the school newspaper seriously. After her article and photos about one of her teachers gets printed in the city paper, the teacher goes missing. Lexy gathers her best friend, the school paper's editor, the paper's photographer, and another teacher to investigate what happened to Mr. Walker.

"Herbie: Fully Loaded" is the sixth film about the sentient Volkswagen Beetle known as Herbie the Love Bug. In this 2005 film, Lohan plays Maggie Peyton, a former street racer who finds Herbie in a junkyard. After Herbie gets fixed, the two of them start street racing again, but a winner-takes-the-other's-car race sees Maggie lose her car and Herbie slated for a demolition derby. They have to reconcile if they want to keep racing.

Excitement and nostalgia are running high for Lohan fans with November's "Falling For Christmas." Lohan returns to the rich, spoiled woman role of her early career films. This time, she's the recently engaged hotel heiress Sierra Belmont. When Sierra loses her memory in a skiing accident just days before Christmas, she finds herself in the care of a rugged lodge owner and his young daughter.

Lohan plays Ashley Albright, the luckiest girl in Manhattan, in "Just My Luck." When she kisses the constantly unlucky Jake Hardin at a masquerade ball, they swap luck. After a string of terrible events, Ashley has to figure out how to make the most of what she has left, which shows her who she can rely on in tough times. When her luck is restored, she has to decide what it's worth to have everything she wants at Jake's expense.

This 2006 musical comedy provides a fictional behind-the-scenes look at the people who work at the variety radio show "A Prairie Home Companion." With the venue for the show slated for destruction, the performers put on one last show between conversations as they reminisce about old times, see a ghost, and witness a death or two. Lohan plays Lola, one part of the singing Johnson Girls trio.

"Georgia Rule" follows Lohan's Rachel Wilcox, a promiscuous, alcoholic, drug-addicted teenager who is sent to live with her grandmother Georgia for the summer. Georgia has strict rules about life, but Rachel continues to act out in ways Georgia cannot understand. Eventually, Rachel reveals a secret in her past that explains her behavior and changes her relationships forever.

The 2006 drama "Bobby" is a fictionalized account of the hours leading up to Robert F. Kennedy's assassination taking place in a Los Angeles hotel in 1968. Lohan plays Diane Howser, a young woman who is marrying her best friend in the hopes it will change his deployment, as it was believed married men were more likely to be deployed to Germany than Vietnam, where they were seemingly more likely to survive. But a man with a gun is heading in their general direction.

"Liz and Dick" is a made-for-TV biopic centering on Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, following them from their first meeting to Burton's death. Lohan stars as Taylor. The movie deals with their careers, affairs, mental health struggles, physical health issues, and the constant stresses of leading a public life.

The 2007 psychological thriller "I Know Who Killed Me" focuses on Lohan's Aubry Fleming, who has been abducted by a serial killer who tortures his victims for weeks before killing them. One night, a mutilated woman is brought into the hospital. She looks exactly like Aubry but claims she is Dakota Moss, a stripper who's only just come to town. She doesn't seem to know anything about a serial killer until she begins having visions.

"Labor Pains" is a 2009 romantic comedy that follows Lohan's Thea Clayhill. Believing she's about to be fired, Thea decides to fake a pregnancy, believing she cannot be fired for any reason if she's pregnant. When things start going right for her, she has to keep up the charade as long as she can, but how does she tell the man she's falling for that it's all been a lie?

In the fifth movie in the Scary Movie horror-comedy franchise, Lohan plays a fictionalized version of herself. She and Charlie Sheen (also playing himself) film a sex tape with a wide variety of comedic interludes and accompaniments. The playfulness comes to an abrupt halt when an unseen and dangerous force possesses Lohan.

"Machete" expands on the fake trailer in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's "Grindhouse" double-feature. Machete is an ex-Federales who has been betrayed by his boss and is out for revenge. Lohan plays April Booth, who is kidnapped and exploited by Machete as revenge for her father's plot to set him up. April later returns to the screen armed and wearing a nun's habit.

Based on the 1992 book "Let Me Take You Down" by Jack Jones, "Chapter 27" is a biopic about Mark David Chapman, the man who murdered John Lennon in 1980. Lohan plays Jude Hanson, a young fan waiting to get an autograph from Lennon. While waiting, she encounters Chapman, who is waiting for Lennon for much more sinister reasons.

"Among the Shadows" is a supernatural thriller from 2019. It follows a private investigator trying to solve her uncle's murder while hiding the fact she's descended from werewolves. Lohan plays Patricia Sherman, a vampire who's the first lady of the European Federation. Patricia hires the private investigator to solve the murder because the victim also worked on her husband's reelection campaign.

The 2013 erotic thriller "The Canyons" follows Christian, a trust-fund kid turned movie producer, who is in an open relationship with his lead actress, Tara, played by Lohan. When Tara starts seeing her costar Ryan, Christian's jealousy leads him to spiral out of control and turn to violence. It turns out it isn't the first time either.

The 2013 film "InAPPropriate Comedy" centers around director Vince Offer opening apps on a tablet full of offensive apps. Each of the seven apps opens a new satirical sketch-comedy segment. Lohan plays either herself or Marilyn Monroe, depending on different sources for the credit. Her segment is entitled "Above the Grate" and features her reenacting the famous Monroe air-vent scene from "The Seven Year Itch."

Lohan will return to the fantasy romance-comedy genre of her earlier films with 2023's "Irish Wish," in which she'll play Maddie, a woman who is about to be a bridesmaid while her best friend marries the love of Maddie's life. In Ireland for the wedding, Maddie makes a wish. When she wakes, she is the bride, but is this wedding she's been dreaming about actually what she wants?
